Rebecca D. Salamankas
September 15, 1974 - July 05, 2023
Rebecca Danielle Salamankas, 48, loving wife of John and devoted mother to Patrick and Jack, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at home with her family while under the care of Hospice Savannah. She was born September 15, 1974 to Andrea McElveen Richardson and the late William Meyers Richardson. Rebecca was a member of the First Baptist Church of the Islands and a graduate of Savannah High School. Her family was her greatest love, along with living on "the Island", spending time at the beach, growing flowers, reading, and painting. She was blessed with many close friends she dearly loved.
She is survived by her husband John Salamankas, 2 sons, who were the complete joys of her life, Patrick and Jack Salamankas, her mother, Andrea McElveen Richardson, sister, Kathleen Shores (Kevin), brother, Bill Richardson (Kathleen “Kat”), several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel. A private burial will be held in the Catholic Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made with flowers or by donations to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
